Eastern Area News Letter

I hope everyone has had a good Christmas and is looking forward to celebrating the New Year on Friday. Deadline for the next Eastern Area Newsletter is 25th January. Any articles received after this date will not be included.Non-competitive news is very welcome. The newsletter is for news not just competitions. I would prefer word documents to be in 2003 format as I do not have office 2007. (2007 gives you the option to save as 2003 if you wish) Photos are also welcome in jpeg or bmp format.

If there is anyone you know of who hasn’t received a copy of this e-mail and you think should please forward it to them and also cc me so I have their e-mail address for future use.

When sending articles please reply to this e-mail so Eastern Area Newsletter is in the title and the mail won’t get deleted by mistake. Thanks for your help

Refereeing Workshop

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to confirm to everyone that a refereeing "workshop" will take place on 31st January 2010 at LophamVillage Hall, North Lopham, Norfolk.

We will have a 9.30am book in, and Chris Mullen has kindly agreed to be "R.I.C" !! We are hoping it will be fun & informative, and will consist of a period of instruction followed by a "hands on" rumble inter-club event for new reffs to have go, followed by lunch (provided).Estimated finish time 2pm.

Please do join us if you can because we really need to get behind refereeing in this area, and even if you are coach and just want to see how reffs minds work or want to have a go yourself you are most welcome. Could you please let me know if you are able to attend, so that we can make adequate provision for numbers.

Thank you Steve Harmer

P.S We will be following this event with a re-validation event which will probably be 28th March

Please contact Steve on:englishantiques@onetel.com.
